LVT in the Mainstream
What a journey – Traviata Floorings ranges of “rigid core” interlocking vinyl are now firmly entrenched in the major brands in the hospitality, retail, commercial and residential sectors.
Key attributes including stability, variety, acoustics, air quality and efficiency have seen the IsoCore, Traviloc XL-RCB and Firm Fit options specified on major projects through the pandemic and going forward.
The IsoCore range has become the first choice for international hotel groups largely due to its superior acoustic properties. Approved by the Marriott group it has been used at the Yacht Club in Cape Town and One on Whitely in Johannesburg.
IsoCores herringbone option has found favour with brands such as Radison. This option with its four sided drop lock is simple to install in single or double herringbone patterns and is a firm favourite with designers. The most recent project completed is in Livingstone – Zambia. Further projects are starting in 2022 using the herringbone and include Radison, Ibis and Meridien hotels.
Traviloc XL-RCB is an SPC core flooring with a full commercial wear layer. Widely used in residential and commercial projects, RCB has also found a place, primarily for hotel bedrooms, in the hospitality sector. The recently completed, and highly publicised, Courtyard hotel in Waterfall used RCB throughout. New projects for RCB include Accor/Mercure and Novotel specifications.
Traviata’s Firm Fit range has not only dominated the residential market in SA but has proven to be extremely versatile also finding its way into the retail, commercial and hospitality sectors. Available as a stock range in a residential grade these rich wood grain boards can also be secured in a commercial grade on a project basis.
Firm Fit has for example been used exclusively by the Milady’s store group throughout SA. It’s commercial portfolio includes the Nedbank offices in Namibia.
Firm Fit’s very recent use in the Premier groups Cape Manor hotel and the Capital in Sandton round out its claim of being Traviata’s most versatile.
